Terms of Service

Last updated: May 2026

1. Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of BotDock's products and services (the "Service"). By creating an account, embedding the widget, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that company.

2. Account & eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a workspace. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your workspace. Notify us immediately at [email protected] of any unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use BotDock to: (a) violate any law or third-party right; (b) send spam, phishing, or malware; (c) generate content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or that infringes intellectual property; (d) attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the platform; (e) deploy bots that impersonate real people or businesses without authorisation. We may suspend or terminate workspaces that violate these rules.

4. Subscription & billing

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance via Stripe. Plan changes take effect on the next billing cycle. Refunds are not provided for partial periods except where required by law. Token-based usage is metered in real time; overages on metered plans are billed at the rate published on the pricing page.

5. Customer data & privacy

You retain ownership of all data you upload to BotDock. We process data only as needed to provide the Service and as described in our Privacy Policy. Our data handling commitments are detailed on the Trust page. Enterprise customers can request a Data Processing Agreement at [email protected].

6. AI-generated output

BotDock's bots produce responses using third-party large language models. Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate for a given context. You are responsible for reviewing AI-generated content before relying on it for decisions, and for ensuring it complies with your industry's regulatory requirements (financial advice, medical, legal, etc.).

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not currently guarantee a specific uptime SLA on free or self-serve plans. Enterprise plans include written SLAs negotiated separately.

8. Termination

You can cancel your workspace at any time from the dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing cycle. We may suspend or terminate workspaces that violate these Terms, chargeback fees without resolution, or remain inactive on a paid plan with non-payment for 30 days.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BotDock's total liability for any claim arising from these Terms is limited to the fees paid by you to BotDock in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
